The Oneida County Facilities Committee received operational project updates from Buildings & Grounds on July 13.
Troy Huber reported that the Monico tower site generator arrived last week; he will coordinate installation with Van Ert and Cummins and said the installation date remains pending. Huber also reported no new updates on the LEC cooling tower replacement.
Regarding fire-panel upgrades across multiple facilities, Huber said the contractor anticipates starting the Timber Drive fire-panel upgrade in September and requested a 50% upfront payment to order materials; the minutes record that the Facilities Director approved that request. The committee received the June 2026 invoices-paid report and reviewed the year-to-date 2026 budget as informational items; no committee action was taken on the invoices or budget report.
The updates were informational. The committee did not record a firm installation date for the Monico generator or a detailed payment schedule beyond the contractor’s 50% upfront request for Timber Drive materials. The Facilities Committee will receive further project updates at future meetings.
