Aberdeen board holds executive session on personnel and SRO contract; motion to suspend city clerk fails

Separately, Alderman John Cain moved to suspend City Clerk Melissa Moore for three days without pay for posting a delinquent privilege-license list on social media without vetting; that motion received no second and therefore failed. The clerk remained in her role and the board adjourned to its next meeting date.

Personnel actions taken in open session included hiring and status changes for police personnel: the board approved changing Officer Justin Posey from part-time to full-time and approved hiring William Austin Henderson as a full-time certified police officer at $16.00 per hour.
