Freeman students earn national FFA honors; construction students present shed project

The Freeman Board of Education highlighted student achievements at its Nov. 10 meeting in the Falcon Spotlight segment, noting performances at the National FFA Conference and local extracurricular successes.
At the National FFA Conference in Indianapolis, Freeman students Carter Fricke and Eli Jensen placed 10th in the Agriscience Fair. The Nursery and Landscaping team earned a Gold Emblem and finished 12th; several students were listed as Gold Emblem individuals and one as a Silver Emblem individual. The minutes also recognize the district’s volleyball program as Sub-District, District and State Champions and list multiple students and coaches honored for athletics and performing-arts participation.
The minutes note that construction and trades students are working on a project to build a shed by the practice football field; the minutes state that Josh Frederick and Cooper Jurgens were present to share about the project.
