Franklin Public Schools board adopts policy, approves $120 per student for summer driver’s education and accepts resignations

Board members also approved funding to help students attend Driver’s Education. “I move to approve providing $120 per Franklin Public Schools' students who choose to participate in the Driver's Education Program provided through the Nebraska Safety Center during the Summer of 2026,” Board member Derek Fouts moved; Lori Cole seconded. The motion passed with the same recorded vote pattern (5 yeas, 1 absent).
The consent agenda — approved by motion of Derek Fouts and seconded by Erica Dorn — included approval of previous meeting minutes, financial reports, and personnel items.
