Franklin Public School posts budget hearing notice, lists $9.73 million proposed budget for 2025-26

The governing body of Franklin Public School issued a public notice that it will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Sept. 15, 2025 at the Franklin Media Center to hear support, opposition, criticism, suggestions or observations of taxpayers regarding the proposed budget, the notice states.

The budget summary attached to the notice lists total resources and disbursements of $6,224,122.00 for 2023-24, $6,231,357.00 for 2024-25 and $9,734,431.14 proposed for 2025-26. The document also shows a property tax total of $4,559,024.04.

Key fund entries in the table include a General Fund disbursement figure of $7,660,840.00 for 2025-26, a Special Building fund amount of $1,206,440.14 for 2025-26 (with related line items showing $1,040,223.00 and $167,896.14), and budgeted entries for depreciation, activities and school nutrition funds.
