Town of Spring Grove board approves December minutes, hears contract and financial updates

Clerk‑Treasurer Jenney Holthouse presented the town’s December financial statements and reported that year‑end reporting to the State of Indiana has been completed. Planning Commissioner Jeff Holthouse said he is still working to secure contracts from Rinehart’s for grass mowing and tree trimming.
Ms. Holthouse also told the board that the City of Richmond is preparing an updated 2026 fire contract that will include a 5% increase over 2025 amounts. The board did not take formal action on the fire contract during the meeting. Jenney Holthouse said Steve Higanbotham from Wayne County will attend the next meeting to explain the county’s updated floodplain ordinance.
