Redevelopment Commission authorizes Caramida proposal for Walter Piano remediation and opens bids for sidewalk/lighting projects

Adam Fan said Caramida's scope would include document review, development of a dig-and-haul plan, bid preparation and bid award oversight; excavation oversight was not included in the quoted proposal. The commission approved the proposal and allocation by voice vote.
Separately, staff opened two bids for the Windsor sidewalk and Casopolis lighting project: Premium Concrete ($624,380) and Reath Riley Construction ($513,600). Staff asked the commission to allow time to review bids and report back at a future meeting rather than awarding the contract immediately. Staff also noted one proposal for office furnishings for Woodland Crossing (Office Interiors) that a review team will examine and report back.
