Township supervisors approve routine minutes, paving advertisement and subdivision waiver; appoint land-preservation members

Williams Township’s Board of Supervisors handled a slate of administrative and land-use actions at its June 10 regular meeting, approving minutes and bills and taking votes on several items including road work procurement, a subdivision waiver and personnel appointments.
The Board approved the May 13, 2026 minutes and the June 10 expense report and bills on motions by Vice Chair Raymond Abert, seconded by Chair George Washburn; both votes carried 2-0. Public Works Director Michael Strawn asked the Board to authorize advertising to solicit a paving crew for large projects such as Diehl Road; Abert moved and Washburn seconded the motion, which carried 2-0.
Township Engineer Ronald Madison presented a minor subdivision plan for Chrin (Hilton Street) showing area needed for a detention-basin expansion. The Board voted 2-0 to waive certain SALDO requirements to allow the parcel adjustment necessary for basin expansion.
In new business, the Board authorized Solicitor Colby Grim to draft amendments to the grading and stormwater management ordinances to make language clearer and align dates. The Board also accepted the resignation of Mrs. Mineo from the Land Preservation Board and moved Robert Friedl from alternate to member and appointed Michael Cortright as treasurer; the alternate vacancy was posted online.
