Charlestown EAC highlights Penn State PFAS well-water testing workshop for private-well residents

Meg Solomon, secretary of the EAC, noted that the first 20 Charlestown residents who register and rely on wells or cisterns will be admitted to the session and that marketing for the event is live.
Committee members said the EAC will use the results and Penn State materials for community outreach. Jill Green, who will write a township newsletter summary, said the July newsletter will include an article summarizing Penn State’s PFAS education and subsequent local water-testing arrangements.
The workshop is presented as educational outreach rather than a township-run test; residents should register through Penn State’s extension site. The committee recorded the workshop date and the limit for Charlestown residents; no fee or cost breakdown was provided in the minutes.
