Commission approves TSPLOST tractor purchase, tables garbage-rate increase

On service and equipment, Commissioner Biddle moved, and Commissioner Douglas seconded, to accept a Carson Brothers quote for a batwing tractor (workmaster/tractor) to be purchased with TSPLOST funds; the motion carried unanimously. The bid document in the record lists a New Holland Workmaster 95 with a total price of $40,681 from Carson Brothers Tractor Co.
Commissioner Jason Frost moved, and Commissioner Damon Hoyte seconded, to table a proposed garbage-rate increase while staff research the cost of returning collection in‑house; that motion also passed unanimously.
The commission also adopted a resolution authorizing County Manager Thomas Weaver as a designated signer on Ozark Bank accounts (motion by Commissioner Frost; second by Commissioner Douglas; unanimous vote).
