The board also signed paperwork appointing Charity Baker to a three-year term as Tax Collector and approved the Jan. 20 regular and non-public minutes.
Town Manager Jessica Cyr explained the land-use permit update as intended to uphold life-safety requirements for commercial applications and noted the accompanying inspection fees. Selectman Leon Rideout moved to accept the inspection fees and Selectman Kathy-Jean Lavoie seconded; the board voted “all in favor.” Rideout then moved and Lavoie seconded to adopt the updated land-use permit with an increased font size; that motion also passed unanimously.
The board records show both sets of January 20 minutes were approved by motion: Rideout moved to approve the regular meeting minutes, Lavoie seconded, and the motion carried with all members voting in favor; the non-public minutes were approved in the same way. The minutes do not record individual roll-call votes beyond the notation “all in favor.”
The board also signed an appointment for Charity Baker as Tax Collector to a three-year term; the minutes record the paperwork was signed but do not record a separate roll-call vote on the appointment.
The updated permit and inspection fees are intended to strengthen review and enforcement for commercial projects; the minutes note the font-size change was requested by Selectman Lavoie for readability. No public testimony or opposition to the permit changes is recorded in the minutes.
