County Assessor Kim Riggs, with Derrick Niederklein of MIPS (Multi-County Information Program Services), presented a proposed professional-services contract for a comprehensive rural parcel valuation project covering roughly 1,720 parcels for a total price of $79,120. The board received the presentation but took no action on the contract at the July 1 meeting.
Separately, Extension Educator Kaytlyn Kennedy met with the board to discuss a University of Nebraska vehicle-rental program available to the Extension Office. Kennedy said the cost for a 12-month contract would be $405 per month, with a reduced rate after the first 12-month period. She also reported the office is still awaiting quotes to replace a copier/printer.
The board did not approve the MIPS contract or make final commitments on the copier replacement during the meeting and asked staff to return with additional information as needed.
