City staff presented a first reading of an ordinance to annex approximately 13.49 acres near the intersection of Kentucky Highway 1008 and Kenneth Utley Drive. Amanda East said the property is owned by Draitestone Properties and that the proposed annexation is consistent with the city’s comprehensive plan.
Amanda asked for two sponsoring commissioners; Commissioners Powell and another commissioner agreed to sponsor the first reading. The item was presented as a first reading; Kathy Hughes read the ordinance summary and told the public a full copy is available from the city clerk.
