The Manasquan Board of Education adopted a slate of administrative appointments and professional services on Jan. 7 as part of its organization meeting. Resolutions named district officials for roles including Public Agency Compliance Officer, Right to Know Officer, Purchasing Agent, Custodians of Records and Personnel, and AHERA/asbestos coordinators. The board also determined that a range of specialized professional services (asbestos consultant, indoor air-quality consultant, safety inspector/repair, integrated pest management and construction management) are required and authorized engagement through specified vendors or cooperative purchasing agreements.
Notable contracts and vendor references listed in the meeting materials included a $12,500 audit engagement for Robert A. Hulsart & Company (2024–2025 audit period) and an itemized three-year pricing agreement with Instructure, Inc. for Canvas LMS: $13,584 for 2025–2026, $14,096 for 2026–2027 and $14,512 for 2027–2028. The board also approved participation in purchasing cooperatives (Omnia Partners, ACES, Alliance for Competitive Telecommunications and others) and authorized solicitation of bids for asbestos abatement at Manasquan High School and Manasquan Elementary School.
These approvals were adopted as part of the consent agenda (Items #17–#59) and were included in the roll-call approval recorded during the meeting. The board also designated official newspapers and re-adopted policy manuals, including the district’s Standard Operating Procedure/Internal Control Manual, Purchasing Manual and Code of Ethics.
