Manasquan honors students, teachers and Unified Soccer Team at Feb. 4 meeting

Manasquan recognized Students and Teachers of the Month and the district Teachers/ES Professional of the Year, and honored the MHS Unified Soccer Team during its Feb. 4 meeting.
The Manasquan Board of Education used the opening portion of its Feb. 4 meeting to recognize students and staff across the district.
Mr. Goodall introduced the High School Students of the Month: William Walsh (freshman), Casey Faulhaber (sophomore), Madelyn Schlatter (junior) and Joanna McDonald (senior). Each received certificates, personalized medals and Walter Bucks. Mr. Goodall also presented the High School Teacher of the Month, Eric Wasnesky, following a recommendation from Joanna McDonald.
Elementary recognitions included January Student of the Month Brad Bateman and Teacher of the Month Andrew Manser; February Student of the Month Jamie Jackwicz and Teacher of the Month Carrie Eastmond. District Teachers of the Year announced included Geniene Podos (High School) and Meghan Dullea (Elementary), who received trophies. Educational Services Professionals of the Year were Jeanne Walsh (High School) and Roberta Morton (Elementary).
The board also introduced the Manasquan High School Unified Soccer Team, showed a short season video and presented awards and Walter Bucks to the captain and team members. Administrators thanked staff involved in the program.
These recognitions were presented during the meeting’s presentation segment and are recorded in the minutes; certificates and trophy presentations were documented in meeting materials on file at the Board Office.
