The board also recommended approval of the 2023–24 audit and the Annual Comprehensive Financial Report prepared by Robert A. Hulsart Jr. of Robert A. Hulsart & Company, and approved a Corrective Action Plan addressing an excess fund balance in the district’s food service fund as documented in the audit (Document N). The audit engagement for 2024–25 was listed in the meeting materials as a $12,500 engagement for Robert A. Hulsart & Company.
A separate motion to accept and approve the minutes of the Dec. 17, 2024 Combined Committee of the Whole and Regular Public Meeting was made by Joseph Loffredo and seconded by Bruce Bolderman; that motion carried by roll call (Ayes 9; Nays 0; Absent 2). The board’s recorded votes on consent items and minutes were unanimous among voting members present.
The board’s approval of the consent agenda and audit acceptance allows administration to proceed with the purchases and contract executions identified in the meeting documents and to implement the audit corrective actions identified for the food service fund.
