After executive session, Manasquan Board approves personnel items, student settlement and collective-bargaining sidebar

The Manasquan Board of Education entered a closed executive session at 7:45 p.m. June 10 to discuss collective bargaining, litigation/contract matters and personnel. After reconvening at 9:00 p.m., the board approved several personnel recommendations for elementary and high school staff, a student settlement, and Sidebar Agreement #05 to the district’s collective negotiations agreement with the Manasquan Education Association, effective July 1, 2023 through June 30, 2028.
Ms. Pollock, the board’s presiding officer, called for the motions to approve the personnel and settlement items following executive session. The motions passed by roll call; votes on the reconvened items were recorded as Ayes (9) or Ayes (11) depending on the specific item. The minutes note that items discussed in executive session would be acted upon when the board reconvened.
The meeting also included public recognition of long-serving board members and retirees; Mrs. Donna Bossone thanked members and said this would be her final meeting. The board adjourned at 9:02 p.m. and the minutes were certified by Board Secretary Pete Crawley, Ed.D.
