Council forwards adaptive reuse zoning ordinance to planning commissions

Councilmember Piccolino moved to authorize sending an ordinance that would amend Chapter 69 (Zoning), adding a definition for "adaptive reuse" and creating Section 69.92 to establish a conditional-use framework for adaptive reuse of certain former public, semi-public, institutional, religious, educational and civic buildings, and to permit adaptive reuse of qualifying hotels, offices, motels and lodging facilities in the C-3 Professional Service District. The motion was seconded and passed 9–0 on roll call.
