Chair Scott summarized the order and the Commission's direction: although the complaint was denied on its merits, several parties agreed with the complainant that the state of the overhead lines made it unsafe to perform necessary work at the property. "Commission requests Ameren to continue to work with the complainant to move forward with a mutually acceptable and cost effective solution," the chair said, noting Ameren had proposed temporary and permanent solutions to permit OSHA-compliant work.
The order approved at the June 24 meeting did not direct specific remedial action or funding commitments at the open meeting; instead, the Commission requested continued engagement between the utility and the property owner to identify workable solutions.
