Separately, the board approved applying to the Georgia Department of Agriculture for up to $25,000 to subsidize spay/neuter procedures for county residents; the grant would cover the cost of the procedure minus a $20 owner deposit and requires no local match. All three applications were approved by the board by 3-0 votes.
