TECCA financial subcommittee reports DESE approval of Title grants totaling more than $1 million

Gale Clark, TECCA’s interim school business administrator, updated the Board Financial Subcommittee on Jan. 15 that Title grants for FY26 have been approved by the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education (DESE). Clark said she will re-journalize transactions back to Sept. 8 to reflect the receipt of more than $1 million.
The subcommittee did not take further action on the grants during the meeting; Clark presented the accounting steps she will take to align internal records with the DESE approval. No additional details on grant line-item allocations or timing of internal reporting were given during the session.
