Residents press board over recurring parties, alleged unpermitted activity on Gulf View Lane

Residents from Gulf View Lane told the Board of Supervisors on Aug. 14 that repeated large gatherings at neighboring homes have created safety and quality‑of‑life problems.
Mr. Gillespie, joined by Reeina Azat and Kristie Dolfi, said the gatherings regularly draw dozens of cars (they reported up to 45 in a cul‑de‑sac), block on‑street parking and could impede emergency vehicles. They also alleged unpermitted business activity on private property, including sales of food and alcohol, use of stadium lighting and placement of portable restrooms.
Chief Chris Yeager said arrests for underage drinking are possible where evidence supports such action and that he would alert the Pennsylvania Liquor Control Board (LCB) if on‑site sales were alleged. Zoning Enforcement Officer John Mateja said he would meet with the property owner the next day and review potential ordinance violations; the board asked staff to investigate and report back.
The residents said previous complaints to police over the past year have not resolved their concerns and asked the board for more effective enforcement. The board directed staff and police to look into the matter and brief the board after the meeting about next steps.
No formal action (motion or vote) on enforcement measures was recorded at this meeting; staff described planned follow up with the property owner and relevant enforcement agencies.
