Town manager reports large pothole; Brooks plans public hearings on truck‑traffic ordinance for Gable Road

Ungaro said the pothole resulted from a water‑main repair completed the previous month; the installed stones have been displaced and the pavement edges are eroding. He said the County Road Department has been made aware of the damage and is scheduling a repair.
Ungaro also noted the October Fayette County Transportation Committee meeting will be hosted at Peachtree City Hall, with representatives from GDOT District 3 attending to hear county transportation concerns. He said he is still waiting to meet with Liberty Tech to discuss potential alternative access.
Finally, Ungaro said the town will hold the first of two public hearings next month on an ordinance that would limit truck traffic on the eastern portion of Gable Road, giving residents formal opportunity to comment before council action.
No formal action was taken on the pothole or the ordinance at the Sept. 16 meeting; Ungaro framed these as operational updates and public‑engagement steps ahead of any ordinance vote.
