The council received administrative updates on permitting and solid-waste contracting.
The Treasurer reported the village resolved technical issues with the IWorQ permitting system and clarified operational guidance: waitlist positions are not transferable, and permits already issued may transfer with property ownership provided all paperwork and fees are submitted within 10 calendar days of closing. The minutes note the waitlist will reopen on Jan. 17, 2026, and that updates will be posted via the village alert system, website and Facebook page.
Manager Faulkner told the council that the current Lakeshore Recycling contract expires in April 2026. Staff will publish requests for proposals for rubbish, recycling, large-item pickup and a separate yard-waste pickup contract.
The minutes do not include dates for the RFP release or deadlines for vendor proposals beyond the April contract expiration month.
