Campton CIP updated to add police cruisers and radios; highway equipment swap deferred
Summary

The Town of Campton's Capital Improvement Plan was updated during the July 9 CIP Committee meeting to reflect several department requests and Board actions. The Board of Selectmen approved adding police department cruisers to the CIP, and Kate O’Connor reported she had updated the plan to show that radios are now scheduled for 2028.
Committee members also recorded that a new forestry vehicle will be added for the Fire Department in 2033 and that the Highway Department removed a backhoe from its entries and replaced it with a roller. The highway equipment change prompted discussion and the committee agreed to revisit the item after additional research by staff.
Separately, Kate reported the Thornton Board of Selectmen awarded a transfer station pole barn contract to Be Fair Builders, LLC for $115,000. The committee held a brief discussion but did not take further action on that item.
The updates will be included in the next CIP draft circulated to the committee and to the Board of Selectmen for any subsequent approvals.
