He noted the city had received a FEMA reimbursement of $142,000 but that those funds were not yet fully reflected in financial reporting.
Council members responded by advising tighter controls on discretionary spending. The council also continued normal business during the meeting, approving several motions while asking staff to monitor and report back on revenues and reimbursements.
No formal budget amendment or new revenue action was taken at the meeting; council direction was limited to expenditure restraint and further review of financial reports.
