Chuck Palmer spoke on behalf of the applicant, 498 Tuggle Greer Partners LLC. Linda Murray, a nearby resident, spoke in opposition, saying she was concerned about traffic and noise if an auto body shop operated in the residential area. The commission denied the request after discussion.
The denial leaves the property without the requested special use; any future proposal that requires zoning relief would need a new application and a separate public hearing.
