Commission on Local Government elects officers, delays FY21 fiscal stress results and adopts commemorative resolution

The minutes from the Nov. 4 regular meeting were adopted on a motion by Commissioner Rosado, seconded by Commissioner Linderman; Commissioner Robert W. Lauterberg is recorded as abstaining on the minutes vote.
The public comment period was opened and closed with no speakers. Staff reported that results for the FY21 Fiscal Stress Report will be delayed six months to allow localities to submit financial information to the Auditor of Public Accounts. Staff also briefed commissioners on the Commission’s role in the 2023 General Assembly session. The Commission adopted a commemorative resolution for Commissioner Mahan (motion by Commissioner Linderman; second by Commissioner Davis) and then adjourned. All recorded motions were adopted unanimously unless otherwise noted.
