A property owner at 968 Hwy 85 Connector told the Brooks Town Council at its June 16 meeting that an AT&T utility pole had been installed on her property without her permission and that a tree had been cut down without approval. The owner asked the council to remove the pole and address the tree removal.
M. Ungaro acknowledged the complaint, apologized for the pole placement and said the town is working to remove and relocate the pole to town property. Ungaro said the tree-removal matter requires further discussion with another property owner at 124 Gable Road. The council did not take formal action during the meeting beyond the planner’s statement that relocation was in process.
The exchange was recorded during the Town Manager report and flagged for follow-up. The minutes note Ungaro’s apology and indicate staff will pursue relocation of the pole and further discussion about the removed tree.
