Brooks council approves municipal flag design contest

The Brooks Town Council unanimously approved a municipal flag design contest at its Dec. 16 meeting.
Resident Bishow Watts presented a proposal for a contest open to residents in the 30205 ZIP code, with submissions accepted Jan. 1 through July 1, 2025. Contest rules, entry forms and design aids will be available on the town website, Town Hall and the Brooks Library. Entries are to be submitted in hardcopy to Town Hall by mail, email or in person and will be posted in Town Hall for public viewing; a judging panel (members to be determined) will select a winner.
Council Member Scott Israel moved to approve the contest; Council Member Ted Britt seconded and the motion passed unanimously.
