Inventory variance prompts staff meeting; shelving installation scheduled April 21

Store General Manager Leigh Ann Lowe said she held a full staff meeting to explain the discrepancy and urged employees to be vigilant during checkout and to monitor customers more closely in the store.
Lowe also reported that shelving approved in a previous meeting is scheduled to be installed April 21. She described procedural changes for reporting the upcoming month’s estimated sales tax: she will report by phone based on the previous month’s actual sales tax and make an adjustment at month end. The board recorded routine approvals earlier in the session and adjourned to meet again April 21 at 10:00 a.m.
