Tammy (speaker 1), who handles campground operations, told councilors the seasonal categories include lake-access and non-lake-access sites plus application, appliance and pet fees, and said managers think interest will increase next year. “We need to decide on the rates for the 2027 seasonal sites out at the campground because we are gonna start advertising,” Tammy said.
Councilors discussed occupancy and comparables; staff said seasonal occupancy did not fill all sites this year but managers expect greater interest for next season. Members noted prior increases: a $200 increase in an earlier year and a $100 rise into the most recent year. After discussion, Councilor Ekman moved to approve the seasonal rates as presented and Councilor Jarbla seconded; the motion carried. The council then directed city hall staff to research and return with pricing, reservation timelines and refund/cancellation policies for up to three monthly sites, and approved adding that work to the next packet.
No specific dollar changes were adopted for monthly sites; staff will report back with proposals and any recommended administrative changes.
