At its Dec. 16, 2025 meeting, the Thomasville ABC Board heard a financial update from Store General Manager Leigh Ann Lowe showing weaker sales compared with the prior year and the state average. Lowe reported November retail sales were down 12.09% year-over-year while statewide sales changed by -8.21%.
Lowe reported daily sales in November of $21,333 and an average year-to-date daily sales figure of $19,572 calculated over 127 working days. She said total sales are approximately $70,000 below last year year-to-date and that the store’s net profit is about $37,000 in deficit, which the minutes attribute to the sales decline. Supporting material was filed as Attachment A and Attachment B.
The board reviewed a cumulative balance sheet showing that cash and money-market balances remained consistent with the prior year. The income statement showed retail sales declines, mixed beverage sales increases, and markdowns roughly unchanged; employee benefits and insurance were higher. Lowe told the board no budget adjustments were necessary at this time (Attachment C).
Operationally, periodic inventory cycle counts were reported as manageable and Lowe said there were no current personnel issues; staff and security plans are in place for anticipated year-end activity (Attachment D). The minutes do not record public comment on the financials.
The board did not adopt any new budget measures at the meeting and adjourned until Jan. 20, 2026.
