Council approves patio and shed permit; resident basement backup traced to storm sewer connection
Summary

Austin Garms applied for a permit to build a patio and shed; on a motion by Ryan and seconded by Ken Leinen the council approved the permit.
Resident Lori Lutmer told the council she was experiencing water backing up into her basement and believed it was coming from the storm sewer. Maintenance lead Josh inspected and found that, at some point, Lutmer's sump pump hole had connected so water was being directed into her basement. Josh said the fix should not be difficult and that he will ask the County to run a camera on the line to locate and correct the connection.
Council recorded the repair plan and left further follow-up to staff.
