Council member Austin Garms called the votes that opened the City of Lismore City Council meeting on June 8, and the council approved the agenda with additions and the May 11 minutes. The body also approved the monthly financial statement, payment of invoices, bank statements, time sheets and transfers during the same series of motions.
City Clerk Amber Bertrand presented a $749 quote — labor included — to replace a failing laptop she uses to remote into city offices. The clerk said the cost would be split with Wilmont; the council approved the purchase on a motion by Ken Leinen and a second by Austin Garms. Amber stated the quote came from her IT provider and that the cost would be shared with Wilmont.
Amber also reported Klosterbuer & Haubrich of Luverne agreed to represent the city as its attorney. On a motion by Austin Garms and seconded by Ryan, the council approved switching legal counsel to Klosterbuer & Haubrich.
The council recorded the clerks’ report and closed the administrative business for the night. The next council meeting is scheduled for Monday, July 13, 2026, at 6:00 p.m.
