The Planning Commission voted unanimously March 5 to table the Hilltop Business Park final land development application, citing outstanding plan revisions that staff said must be addressed before approval.
Pat Cooper of Gateway Engineers presented the proposal for 123 units on 29.03 acres at 8075 Steubenville Pike and reviewed details including sidewalks, a retaining wall, street trees and lighting. Chair Matt Gilfillan told the commission that "approval cannot be recommended until the updated plan is presented and the comments are addressed." Cooper said he and the applicant will meet with township staff on-site March 6 to go over sidewalk issues.
Township staff and the commission pressed for a revised plan set that incorporates responses to engineering and conservation comments. With no further questions, the commission approved a motion to table the application; the motion was made by Bill Fitzgerald, seconded by Chuck Kyle, and carried on a 5-0 roll call vote.
Next steps: the applicant is to revise the plan to address staff comments and return with the updated submission after the scheduled site meeting.
