The Alamosa County Board of Commissioners approved Minor Subdivision 23-012 on June 10, accepting staff recommendations and Planning Commission input to replat roughly 22 acres along Adams Lane into 10 lots ranging from about two to three acres.
Land Use Director Richard Hubler and staff described a lengthy review process beginning in 2023 that included neighbor notices (about 180 properties), a 2024 level two traffic assessment, CDOT discussions regarding Adams Lane access, and identification of a discrepancy between the eastern boundary and the public right-of-way that was later addressed by judicial decree.
Staff noted the property is within the East Alamosa Water and Sanitation District service area and that East Alamosa has indicated water and sewer availability but that a new gravity sewer line along Adams Lane may ultimately be needed to serve the proposed tracts. The board approved the replat by unanimous motion following a Planning Commission recommendation of three-to-one.
