Alamosa County commissioners approve audit, subdivisions and IT hosting contract; multiple routine motions pass unanimously

The Alamosa County Board of Commissioners on June 10 approved several routine and substantive items, including the county’s 2025 audit, an IT hosting contract with Harris, and a minor subdivision creating 10 new lots on Adams Lane.
Commissioner Lori Laske moved and Vice Chair Arlan Van Ry seconded a motion to approve the agenda; the board passed the motion unanimously, and similar unanimous votes followed to approve meeting minutes and the bills and obligations listed for payment.
On the Harris Hosting Contract, County Attorney Jason Kelly told commissioners "it made more financial sense to have Harris host that information. There would be less upgrades needed in the future." The board moved (Laske/Van Ry) and approved the contract unanimously.
Auditors Jessica Bogner and Kellene Sandoval of Wall, Smith, Bateman presented the 2025 audit and reported no material weaknesses or significant deficiencies. The auditors said Alamosa County qualified as a low‑risk auditee, reducing required federal testing; the board approved the audit by unanimous motion.
The board also approved Minor Subdivision 23-012, a replat that will divide roughly 22 acres along Adams Lane into 10 lots; the Planning Commission had recommended approval three-to-one. The board unanimously approved a Secure Transportation license for First Response K-9 after an applicant representative said insurance concerns had been addressed.
A separate condition review for Minor Subdivision 25-007 (applicant Lillie Munoz) generated discussion but no action; the original conditions remain in effect. The meeting adjourned with no further business reported.
