Pleasant Hill staff outline FY27 budget plan; special meeting set to schedule first hearing

City Manager Ben Champ and city staff presented an overview of the proposed fiscal year 2027 budget at a Pleasant Hill City Council work session on Feb. 24.
Champ told Mayor Pro Tem Mark A. Konrad and the council that staff will convene a special meeting at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 3, to set the date for the first public budget hearing. The work session was held immediately after the council’s regular meeting at 5160 Maple Drive.
The presentation was described as a planning summary; the transcript of the work session does not include revenue totals, line-item expenditures, or other numeric budget figures. No formal motions or votes were taken during the work session portion of the meeting.
Council members Len Murray, Andrew Birch, Konnor Hodges and Alyson DeMoss attended; Mayor Pro Tem Mark A. Konrad presided. Mayor Kurovski was listed as absent. The work session was adjourned at 7:56 p.m., and the clerk/finance director’s attestation appears on the minutes.
