Following executive session on June 1, the Stilwell City Council voted to approve a city health care plan presented by HUB for the July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027 plan year.
The motion to approve the HUB proposal was made by Barrett Harris and seconded by Lane Kindle; the minutes record the vote as unanimous among the present members. The minutes also note council directed that any necessary accounting changes for execution — including establishment of a separate fund and bank account for health-related expenses — may be implemented.
Earlier in the meeting HUB had given a presentation on the proposed plan during the regular agenda; that presentation was initially recorded as discussion only prior to the executive session. The council’s formal approval after the session moves implementation forward; staff are responsible for any setup of accounts and administrative changes required to execute the plan.
The minutes do not specify premium rates, covered benefits, enrollment deadlines or which employee classes are affected; those operational details are to be handled by staff and by HUB in follow-up implementation steps.
