Stilwell council approves consent agenda, names Marilyn Hill Music Pavilion and greenlights grant applications

The Stilwell City Council on June 1 approved a broad consent agenda covering routine payments, budget adjustments and community event permits.
Council voted to approve blanket purchase orders totaling $71,906 and payment of claims including $242,928.26 from the General Fund; May payroll of $255,004.64 was also approved. The council approved budget adjustments totaling $63,598 across general, capital improvement and special projects funds.
The council named the remodeled stage at Adair Park the Marilyn Hill Music Pavilion and approved a request by the Catholic Church for a Hispanic Street Festival on Sept. 12, 2026, with street-closing details to be provided later. It also authorized purchase of fencing materials for dumpster enclosures (not to exceed $15,000).
On public safety funding, the council approved a Fire Department application for a Community Fire Assistance Grant of $71,640 (80/20 reimbursement) and recorded a required local commitment of $89,550 from the Capital Improvement - Fire Department account. The minutes also record approval of the city’s annual property insurance payment of $51,469 to OMAG.
All items in Consent Agenda A were approved in a single motion (mover: Lane Kindle; second: Barrett Harris). The council recorded the vote as carried.
