Temple HDC to pursue state and national historic-register listing; member will lead application

Kaitlin Pluskota, a commission member, will spearhead the process and present what needs to be done at the commission’s next meeting.
The commission discussed steps including compiling required documentation and identifying additional properties that are geographically contiguous with the current Temple Historic District. Members directed that those property owners be invited to a future meeting so they can hear information and decide whether to seek inclusion on the town, state and federal registers.
The discussion did not record any formal vote to file an application; members volunteered to assist with tasks outlined by Pluskota. The commission set its next meeting for June 24, 2026, when Pluskota is scheduled to report back with specifics and a proposed timeline.
