The Planning Board received informational copies of four New Hampshire House bills at the May 6 workshop.
The handout listed HB 1010, described as proposing repeal of the statewide mandate requiring multi-family residential development on commercially zoned land; HB 1079, described as allowing accessory dwelling units to be built within or attached to certain nonconforming structures; HB 1131, described as a change to the official ballot referendum form of town meetings; and HB 1588, described as establishing special assessment districts and expanding the housing infrastructure grant program to allow municipal upgrades tied to new housing and making an appropriation.
Board members were given the bills for information only and no formal action or position was taken at the workshop. The materials were provided to the board for review and potential future discussion as the Master Plan and CIP work continues.
