The Gilmanton Board of Selectmen voted April 6 to hire Kristen Menard Clairmont for a seasonal Park Attendant position at grade G2, step 8 for 20 hours per week following a non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(b). Chairman Meredith Kelley made the motion and the board approved it unanimously.
The board later entered non-public session under RSA 91-A:3 II(c) to review a hardship statement and subsequently voted unanimously to deny the hardship tax abatement request for property 104-001.
In connection with non-public discussions from March 9, 2026, the board also voted to seal the portion of the March 9 non-public minutes described as a legal matter (item 2 of 2), citing ongoing legal implications and pending information from legal counsel. The board noted that unsealed non-public minutes become public after 72 hours and that sealed minutes are periodically reviewed for possible unsealing.
No public comment or vote tallies beyond unanimous approvals were recorded for these actions. The board recorded follow-up action for the Town Administrator to add a “sealed” notation to the March 9 non-public minutes before filing.
