A resident raised safety and liability issues on Firehouse Lane during the Select Board meeting April 14, prompting the board to change parking signage.
Amy Cabana told the board there is a ditch on the side of the road where the Birchwood Inn sits that creates a hazard; she noted there were currently no-parking signs only on the Village Green side of the road. Gail Cromwell suggested placing no-parking signs on both sides.
Ken Caisse moved to relocate the no-parking signs from the Village Green side to the opposite side and to continue to review and monitor the safety concerns. George Willard seconded; the board approved the motion.
The minutes record the board's motion and direction to monitor the situation; no specific timeline for installing new signage or further mitigation steps was included in the public minutes.
