Commission asks for septic, water-line and wetlands details on Greenwood Path shoreland permit

The Bristol Conservation Commission reviewed a shoreland permit application for 111 Greenwood Path, Unit 4 (NHDES Shoreland Permit #2025-01941) and requested more information about septic systems and site utilities.
Chair Richard Batchelder said he had attempted a site visit but could not access the property because of snow. Commissioners examined the submitted plans for new piers and pervious walkways and noted the application did not include septic information. Donna Sullivan, the town’s land-use administrative assistant, said the applicants reported no change in square footage or bedrooms and described the plans as foundation piers and pervious walkways only.
Sullivan said the applicants will come before the Conservation Commission in March so the commission can review the application and offer recommendations for any Special Use Permit related to wetlands setbacks; the case will then go to the Planning Board. Sullivan said staff would ask applicants for more detailed septic and water-line information at the time of application. Janet Cote said she would contact NH DES to determine whether a Standard Dredge and Fill Wetlands Permit is also required and to check whether the agency has septic information on file.
Commissioners expressed concern for the age and arrangement of septic systems in the condo/cottage community and agreed more detail is necessary before advancing permitting recommendations.
