Parallel taxiway reconstruction to begin July 6; FAA reviewing ALP title letters and flight‑pattern concerns

The Airport Advisory Committee was briefed on the parallel taxiway reconstruction plan at its June 19 meeting. A map with phasing was attached to meeting materials; a pre‑construction meeting is scheduled for June 24 and construction is expected to begin July 6, with an anticipated closure of roughly 30 days during September–October. Committee members said reimbursement will follow the same policy used during the previous closure.
Committee members were also updated on the Airport Layout Plan (ALP). The final ALP is available on the NDOT‑Aeronautics website while the FAA reviews title letters required for formal approval.
Separately, the committee discussed a proposed change to the flight pattern that is currently not allowable because of a documented tower obstruction noted in the ALP. The FAA will determine whether that tower is the only obstacle or whether other obstructions will affect the proposed flight‑pattern change.
