The Westbrook City Council voted to enter executive session to consult with legal counsel about the legal rights and duties of the city, pending or contemplated litigation and settlement offers.
Councilor Gary Rairdon moved to enter executive session pursuant to 1 M.R.S. Section 405-6(E; consultative session with legal counsel). Vice President Michael Shaughnessy seconded the motion; the motion carried by a show of hands with no opposition recorded. The minutes list those invited to attend the executive session: Mayor David Morse; City Administrator Angela Holmes; Assistant City Administrator Jennie Franceschi; City Clerk Ellis Ledoux; Interim Director of Economic Development Jerre Bryant; Deputy Director of Economic Development Monique Cornett; Project Manager Robyn Saunders; and Legal Counsel Kristin Collins.
The council adjourned directly out of executive session at 8:10 p.m.; the adjournment motion was moved by Councilor Brian McCambridge and seconded by Vice President Shaughnessy and carried by show of hands.
