The Kennebunk Select Board on May 26 appointed William Ward, Jr. to the town Budget Board, effective July 1, 2026, to fill the remainder of a three-year regular term expiring June 30, 2028. The Appointment Working Group had interviewed Ward and recommended the appointment.
The board also unanimously moved to nominate Ward as Kennebunk’s representative to the Maine Municipal Association (MMA) Legislative Policy Committee for the 2026–2028 term; MMA nomination forms are due by 5 p.m. on June 4.
Lisa Pratt moved both actions; Karen Plattes seconded. Both motions passed by show of hands, 6–0, with one member absent.
