Stilwell council approves consent agenda covering payroll, project payments and equipment renewals

The Stilwell City Council on May 4 approved most items on its consent agenda, voting 5-0 to pass the package after removing one benefits enrollment item for separate consideration.
The approved consent items included blanket purchase orders totaling $71,906 and listed claims including $280,897.72 from Fund 10 (General) and $37,682.57 from Fund 91 (Special Projects — Golf Course). The council also approved April payroll in the sum of $375,995.08. City staff told the council the Second Street Project has a final-paving problem that a subcontractor is correcting.
The council also approved a software/hardware renewal: 55 Samsara vehicle gateway trackers at $24 per month each, an annual expense of $15,840 charged to General Fund Account 10-04-630700. The council recorded a separate item to approve hydroseeding Bermuda grass for the entire golf course by Fourkiller Lawn Solutions for $47,916 from Special Projects — Construction Acct. #91-12-645303.
Councilmember Jim Spray moved to approve Consent Agenda A with the exception of the item on health-plan enrollment; Lane Kindle seconded the motion, which passed 5-0. The separated item (Agenda B, item 7) — approving June as the enrollment month for all city health plans — was approved in a separate 5-0 vote.
The approvals included scheduling: a working session on May 19, 2026, at 5:30 p.m. with the Stilwell Improvement Authority on the proposed FY 2026–27 budget and a joint public hearing with the authority on June 1, 2026, at 5:30 p.m.
